WIP: more black and white!

Yes, my answer to K's challenge continues, this time with a piece that I really like quite a bit:

In fact I am thisclose to posting it up on Etsy, BUT- it needs...something. More of a white highlight? Should the faun fade to dark at the side of the pic? I do not know.

So, comments most especially welcome! This is all digital, so I can handle even pretty radical revision...

I think you are on the right track with both ideas!

Bingo!! Bingo! Bingo!!
Black and white fits you like a..hmmm? a velcro thong?
BUT, (not butt) this is is it!
If you were to do anything..to this illustration. Make the faun pop by darkening background against his right shoulder to his cheek. (his lower cheeks).

(never be afraid to have bold white areas against strong black areas)

Oh Snap! You are on target!

I hate to do this in "public" but emails go unanswered. You participated in One World One Heart earlier this year....you did a post saying you'd have six winners for a mystery prize. I know at least one of those winners never has received theirs. After sending you her address and email and attempting to contact you...nothing happened. Each year I do this I hope those joining in will do it in good faith...will not only welcome people to their blog but also fulfill the sending of winners "door prize". I am hoping this is just an oversight on your part and it can be rectified soon. As I said I really didn't want to air this publically but had no choice. I am going to keep the faith you contact her and make this right.
Thanks so much,
Lisa
